Payment Gateway Integration Integration refers to the method by which a merchant website interfaces with a payment gateway. CyoGate currently supports two different integration methods, each having its own set of advantages and disadvantages. Merchants are able to use either, or bother, methods of integration depending on which is more suitable for the specific application.
All CyoGate Internet Payment Gateway accounts support the following methods of integration:
- Quickclick - The Quickclick method allows a merchant to quickly, easily, and affordably integrate their website with the Payment Gateway. The main disadvantage of the Quickclick method is that it may not be flexible enough to meet the requirements of every merchant.
Using the Quickclick method, a customer finds a product they wish to purchase on the merchant's website. The customer clicks on a "Buy now" or "Add to Cart" button for the product. After clicking on the button, the customer is transferred to CyoGate's SSL secured website to complete the transaction. Key advantages to this method of integration are that it's very easy to implement even with only a basic knowlege of html and the merchant does not require an SSL certificate or need to store credit card numbers.
- API - Some merchants may require more advanced functionality than Quickclick can provide. The API integration method allows merchants the greatest flexibility in terms of support for more types of transactions, more detailed information on the results of submitted transactions, and it's ability for use in non web-based applications. The API integration method requires a more in-depth understanding of programming and will usually require an SSL security certificate for integration with web-based applications. In addition, the merchant may be required to store credit card information depending on the ecommerce platform being integrated.
